When Piotr was in London at the Pistoia Alliance events, I took a trip to Paris to take part in the Hello Tomorrow Global Summit.
We were invited to take part in the Summit as one of the top 500 deeptech startups worldwide from the Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge (see our post about the competition).
On Wednesday I attended the Investor Day organised in the French Ministry for the Economy and Finance. It was a very productive time in terms of meeting prospective investors. Then, for Thursday and Friday, Piotr joined me from London for a couple more meetings with VCs, corporate partners and other start-ups, as well as the talks and panels organised during the conference.
The history we told was met with considerable interest. We had a couple meetings planned beforehand, and a couple more organised spontaneously on site. I was impressed how most of the people I’ve met were very well prepared for the conference. I even had a meeting where the VC representative quoted the very papers from our narrow field that I wanted to show them later.
Apart from the conference, we got a chance to see a bit of Paris and nearly missed our flight back home. Nevertheless, thank you to Hello Tomorrow organisers for a fantastic time and a special shoutout to our friend Mikołaj Firlej, who has helped us a lot with preparing for the conference!
